About Dr. Jason G. Hirsch, MD

Dr. Jason G. Hirsch is an obstetric anesthesiologist at UCLA Health and a Health Sciences Associate Clinical Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He directs obstetric anesthesia services at UCLA Santa Monica and is dedicated to training the next generation of specialists through his leadership in obstetric anesthesiology fellowship education.
His clinical and academic work focuses on high-risk obstetric anesthesia, maternal safety, and evidence-based perioperative care. His areas of expertise include preeclampsia, obstetric hemorrhage, placenta accreta spectrum, and anesthetic management for pregnant patients with complex cardiovascular and hematologic conditions.
Through clinical leadership, education, and quality improvement initiatives, Dr. Hirsch contributes to advancing the safety and effectiveness of obstetric anesthesia.
